Changes made to presentation master are lost due to applying new template.
Cause:
When a new template is applied, PowerPoint copies the masters and the color scheme into the presentation. Any changes made to the presentation masters or color scheme are lost.
Solution:
Re-enter the changes to the masters.
1) Open the desired presentation.
2) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Master'. (The Master submenu appears.)
3) Select the desired 'Master' from the submenu.
4) Make the desired changes.
5) Repeat steps 2) through 4) for each master in which to re-enter changes.
